Armor of God

The Apostle Paul provides an object lesson when comparing a soldier’s armor and weapons with those of the believer as we engage in spiritual warfare. On today, Pastor Elder Jerry Seawright talks about the belt of truth mentioned in Ephesians 6:14a. In particular, he warns us about two things that cause disunity in the church: false teaching and wrong living.

Scripture References: Luke 12:35-37, Ephesians 6:14

From Series: "Armor of God"

Paul's description of the Armor of God consists of five defensive pieces: the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel, shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation. We also have two offensive weapons: the sword of the spirit and prayer. All seven pieces help believers overcome the power of Satan.
