Part of Israel's history includes people who may have had one or two of the offices of prophet, priest, or king. The prophecy about Jesus' birth, however, revealed His unique, three-fold role of Prophet, Priest and King. His earthly birth ushered in the ultimate plan for mankind's salvation from sin.
